10 Red Rock Mountains, I’m not a hiker by nature but it’s beautiful out here and not much of a drive to get a much needed break from the craziness. Pretty easy to just drive the loop and take in the scenery.

9 Springs Preserve another unvegas experience that is hard to describe. It’s a cultural center of sorts, part museum, part garden designed to educate people about the desert, the local history etc.

8 Paiute Golf I’m a very mediocre golfer but I’ve golfed a few courses in Vegas and this is my favorite. Its a drive but you get lower prices as a result and by being this far out on the Paiute Indian reservation you will not see a hint of Las Vegas just beautiful nature and several courses to choose from

7 Commonwealth Rooftop downtown they only open the rooftop on busier nights but there aren’t many better outdoor places to grab a drink on a Vegas summer night

6 Container Park a small park built out of shipping containers downtown. It’s hard to explain but if you are in the area and have any interest in urban design definitely take a peek. Grab a cocktail at Oak and Ivy inside the park

5 Don’t Tell Mama I don’t karaoke and I generally dislike it, but this piano bar is special. On almost any given night for the price of a beer you will find a comfortable atmosphere and great talent hidden here performing for a handful of customers. Mostly the bartenders do the singing. They are gifted behind the bar and behind the mic. Throw a couple bucks in the tip jar when they come round.

4 Downtown Cocktail Lounge, I’m a big fan of downtown just avoid the zip line and everything below it. The door to this place is tricky to find the first time but if there is a cooler lounge to grab a cocktail with friends in Las Vegas I haven’t found it.

3 Forte Eastern European tapas? I’m not sure what that even means but great people run this place and it’s a unique Las Vegas experience. Happy hour till 7pm daily where you can get $5 Moscow Mules. Try the stuffed sweet peppers.

2 Herbs and Rye, half price steak at happy hour. Good steaks at great prices without sacrificing atmosphere. It’s on Sahara a short drive from the Rio

1 Honey Toast at Ichiza, there’s only two ways to dull the pain from a harsh elimination from the WSOP, alcohol and/or honey toast at Ichiza.
